What My Mother Doesn't Know
The book I read monday was What My Mother Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones. It is a series of little paragraphs on each page about how this girl is going through high school. This was a book that I will only read once because I did not enjoy it. I think this is not a good book for people like me because there is no comedy, action or suspense and that is what I look for in a book. This book also did not drag me in so after about a half hour I felt like putting the book down and switching books although i did not do this I never got to a point where was dragged in by the story. I do not believe this is a bad book it is just not the right book for someone like me. If you like books with action, comedy and suspense like me then I suggest not to read this novel.

I once thought about reading the book.....then i saw the title.

I would certainly not have recommended this book to you, Nicky - the story is told not in paragraphs but in poetry. And the story is about a high school girl dealing with her mother's depression and her won feelings of self worth -
ReplyDeleteI would suggest books like Silverfin or High Heat or another book by Mike Lupica to you - they have action and adventure. If you are looking for books that are both funny and have adventure I would suggest one the many Artemis Fowl books.
It felt to me like you were not really reading this book last Monday and that it was an object of great amusement. Let's not waste another Monday like that.
